2020 Winter skin tips for men and beginners!

Skincare is important for everyone, gender aside. We recognize that skincare posts and blogs have typically not been addressed or marketed toward men specifically, but all of our posts are for everyone! We wanted to make a quick intro to skincare for males as the new year begins- for any males specifically that would like to make their skin a priority in 2020.

1.  Cleanse

Find a gentle cleanser that has moisturizing benefits! The harsh cold Albertan winters are in opposition to your skin, and a little extra moisture can't hurt! In the cold, our skin sweats less, unless fitness is a priority for you- in which case, it's important to make sure to find a cleanser that removes oil and dirt!

2. Exfoliate

We exfoliate to get rid of dead skin cells by using a scrub. 2-3 times a week would be a great start to start this process, as anymore could risk completely drying out the skin and depriving it of its essential oils thereby leading it to dehydration. Attending the gym causes the skin to sweat and this is a great step to add into a sincere routine to make sure your skin has no excess dried sweat on it, which in turn better absorbs your cleanser and moisturizer into the skin.

3. Moisturize

A rich moisturizer is best for the winter, and often people switch their skincare regimen seasonally. In the winter the skin is prone to dryness and this is arguably the most important step. This is basically just a face cream- finding a rich moisturizer with nutrients such as essential oils and vitamin e to prevent dryness, flaking and oily skin.
